It's only the 4th week of the year, and I'm already running behind on my Project Life images. Time just flies by when you're enjoying life! The past few weeks haven't been super exciting, in terms of editorials and conceptual shoots, but the lack of excitement has given me a chance to focus on the little things. Living just outside of New Orleans gives me the opportunity to explore an amazing culture of people with a unique history, not to mention the fabulous scenery. Every time I wander around the city, I find something new to photograph. It's an endless source of beauty and inspiration! And of course I had to include some shots of my pets, family and friends - capturing everyday life is so important!

I don't know why I put this project off for so long. It's not nearly as challenging as I thought it would be. It's actually pretty darn easy - just shoot a photo or two every day and share away! At the end of each week, I print my favorites on my Canon Selphy printer, put them in my Project Life binder, add a few pretty filler cards and jot down some details. Easy as pie, right?

Here are my favorite images from weeks 2 & 3. Enjoy!

City Park is full of unique people, and of course, super cute fur babies. This little guy wanted to join in on my session :)

A few more of my week 2 favs: Japanese cherry blossoms from my in-laws tree - one of my favorite flowers; my fur baby, Aro, has taken over my editing chair; Scrappy still freezing; my collection of new dresses for conceptual shoots (yes, I have a dress buying addiction); my sister with her fur babies.

A few of my week 3 favs: Who doesn't take photos of their fro-yo? More flowers in City Park's botanical gardens; A model of a magazine street building along the miniature train track at City Park; beautiful autumn leaves, even though it's supposed to be winter here; a sneak-peek of one of my recent shoots; roses in City Park's botanical gardens.

Well, that about sums it up for weeks 2-3 of Project Life. Stay tuned for my weeks 2-3 conceptual images!

Yours in Art,
